Do you know how hot your oil is?

The ideal engine oil temperature for a modern water cooled engine is 220-225F. Track use can bump that to over 300F in models with 3.8 or 4.0 engines.

The LN Engineering Billet (not cast) 2.5 QT Deep Sump Oil Pan Kit inc. pickup tube extension for MY09+ 9A1 engine in Boxster, Cayman, and 911 models lowers oil temperatures on track up to 40 degrees F. A must for every street and track car with the 9A1 engine. Baffle in photo not included (utilizes the factory oil control baffle). You can reuse the factory profile o-ring or replace with new factory part 9a1-107-325-02.

The Bilt Racing 2.5 quart one-piece billet deep sump for the MY09 and later 9A1 DFI engine used in the Boxster, Cayman, and 911 models restores oil fill quantity to 9.5-10 quarts, crucial for engines that see track use. More capacity means it takes longer for oil to get overheated and longer for oil to breakdown and shear out of grade, both are situations which can lead to increased wear or engine failure.

Our billet 2.5 quart deep sump also adds a second drain plug to allow for faster and more complete draining of used engine oil at time of change. Both LN Engineering magnetic drain plugs are include in the kit.

Kit also includes a pickup tube extension to ensure added oil can be utilized. Factory oil control baffle and oil level sender bolt on without modification. No other deep sump on the market allows correct measuring of oil level through the dash interface.
