The Box Components Box Four 8-Speed chain is not your regular 8-speed chain. Optimised for use with the Box 8-speed wide-range 1 x 8 drivetrain, the chain is polished and then chemically treated to achieve higher corrosion resistance. Box has engineered the inner link spacing to be a little tighter than other 8-speed chains optimising this chain for use with the Box Four 8-speed Wide/Narrow Chainring.

The natural finish chain is 116 links making it suited to a bunch of different bikes running the 1×8 Box wide-range drivetrain.
